Ed Templeton bio:
Ed Templeton (b. 1972) is a two-time world champion professional skateboarder and founder of the Toy Machine Bloodsucking Skateboard Company, as well as an artist who has exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide. He is also the co-editor of the arts periodical ANP Quarterly, along with Aaron Rose and Brendan Fowler. Templeton's work was showcased in the seminal 2004 exhibition, Beautiful Losers, along with contemporaries Barry McGee and Chris Johanson. In 2008 Templeton's third book of photographs, Deformer, was published and won first prize at the International Festival of Photography in Rome. In 2010 the S.M.A.K. Museum in Gent, Belgium will present a mid-career retrospective of his work titled "The Cemetery of Reason," that will travel Europe and be accompanied with a catalog.
